It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Irene Huffman of Clay Center, Kansas, who passed away on May 22, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Gonser and Celia Gonser (Affolter); her grandparents, Jacob and Elizabeth Affolter; her husband Richard A. Huffman; her grandson Mark Huffman; and her brother Carl Affolter.
She is survived by: her children, Dick (Pam Huffman) and Donice (Mike Frey); her grandchildren, Chris Huffman (Julie), April Cole (Clay), Gaylord, Emily Asnicar (Ben) and Eric Frey (Kate); her great grandchildren, Nicole, Natalie, Nathan, Nolan Huffman, Cody, Emma Cole, Libby, Caleb and Luke Asnicar; and her sisters-in-law, Elsie Affolter and Judy Huffman. She is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to the First Presbyterian Church of Clay Center, KS and may be left in care of Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home.
