He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Shelden and Nellie Alberta Moon (Caley); his son Douglas Moon; his brothers, Ernest Moon, Albert Moon and Charles Neef; and his grandson Malakai Rowland-Van Horn.
He is survived by: his wife Dorcile Moon; his children, Dena Van Horn (William) of Clay Center and Brian Moon (Deb) of Clay Center; his sister Lynette Bigler (Mike) of Clay Center; and his grandchildren, Cody Moon (Haley), Dylan Moon and Melody Rowland.
Memorials may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall and the Clay Center American Legion.
