It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Sharp (Clay Center, Kansas), born in Riley, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elgin and Rose Mary Sharp (Walno); and his sisters, Ellen Rose Carlyon (Raymond), Nellie Sinn (Albert) and Bess Achenbach.
He is survived by: his wife Irene May Dunn; his brother-in-law Dean Otto; his children, Judy Seidel of Berkeley, Ivy Osborn (Lynn) of Dardenne Prairie, Gerald Sharp (Susan) of Clay Center, Mary Jo McFadden (Robert) of Houston and Tim Sharp (Tammy) of Riley; his brother-in-law Sid Achenbach of Arkansas City; and his grandchildren, Julee Breakstone, Valerie Barr, Denise Gooden, Monica Jackson, Dale Sharp, Barry McFadden, Daniel McFadden, Bill Sharp, Jayson Sharp and Becky Chase. He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren.
