He was predeceased by: his parents, Nellie Hatfield (Fitzgarrald) and Edward Thomas Hatfield; his daughter Iris Jean; his wife Valda Jean Bloom; and his siblings, James, Earl, Juanita, Maxine, Ruth, Irene and Mary Ellen.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas A. of Midland, TX and William L. (Jackie) of Rockford, IL; and his grandchildren, Stacie Hatfield of Midland, TX, Angelina Carrasco of South Bend, Indiana, Jesse Hatfield of Des Moines, IA, Justin Hatfield of Rockford, IL and Joy Olson of Rockford, IL.. He is also survived by the youngest of 8 siblings.
