She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy James and Hazel Demaris Hare (Tripp); her husband Ned Sortor; and her children, Ruth Ann McAnarney and James Aaron Sortor.
She is survived by: her daughter Brenda Sortor of Clay Center; and her grandson Justin Pfizenmaier of Manhattan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
