With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cenith Cowing (Clay Center, Kansas), who passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Wood and Myra Wood; her son Sam; her half-siblings, Mike, Evelyn and Pauline; and her siblings, Doyle, Norris, Olin, Orin, Arven and Carol Rogers.
She is survived by: her husband John Leonard Cowing (Bunky); her siblings, Loy Wood, Arden Wood of Weymouth, MA and Sally Cooper of Osborne, KS; her daughters, Kathy Sweet (Roy) of Clay Center, Robin Butterworth of Glenpool, OK and Gina Burman (Don) of Lawrence, KS.; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Karla Sweet of Clay Center, Carrie Alton of Clay Center, Sarah Butterworth of Glenpool, OK, Jonathan Stidman of Tulsa, OK, Nathan and Gabrielle Burman of Dallas, TX; and her great grandchildren, Emilee, Aiden, Gavin, Emmett and Conrad. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
