She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Spires and Lilly Bell Altman (Prosser); her spouse Eugen Swenson; and her son Greg Swenson. She is survived by: her daughter Nancy (Ben Oard) of Inman; her grandchildren, Amy Mauck (Greg), Benjamin Oard (Jandee) and Brian Oard; and her close friend Glen Steffen of Clay Center. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Clay Center First Baptist Church and can be sent c/o the funeral home.
