It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettie Elaine Buckner of Clay Center, Kansas, born in Kansas City, Kansas, who passed away on July 15, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hannah Douthat (Spencer) and David L. Douthat; her brother Jay S. Douthat; and her son David W. Ehret. She is survived by: her former husband Ken Ehret; her husband Herschel L. Buckner; her daughter Susan Jane Ferris (Steve) of Basehor, KS; her stepdaughter Sharon Pennington of Kansas City, MO; her daughter-in-law Deborah Ehret of Goddard, KS.; and her grandchildren, Nicole Rooney (Bronson) of Schertz, TX, Jennifer Baker (Michael) of Prairie Village, KS, Michael Ehret (Sonja) of Von Ormy, TX and Jill Burgess of Lenexa, KS..
