He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schneweis and Margaret Schneweis (Boor); and his siblings, Leo Schneweis, Margaret Hitschmann, Rita Klug and Judy Nimmo.

He is survived by: his friend Chiefs; his wife Sandra E. Schneweis; his children, Melanie and Brian; his grandchildren, Jackson and Victoria Schneweis; and his siblings, Dorothy Maneth of Great Bend, Mary Stewart of Great Bend, Bernice Huslig of Great Bend, Francis Scheweis of Guymon and Herman "Butch" Schneweis of Hoisington, Kansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

With the current pandemic, the family has chosen a private viewing.
