It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Hickel (Claflin, Kansas), born in Heizer, Kansas, who passed away on May 3, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Lawrence and Beulah Lawrence (Susank); and her husband Robert E. Hickel. She is survived by: her children, Steve Hickel (Dorian) of Claflin, Rick Hickel (Dawnya) of Claflin, Doug Hickel (Karen) of Claflin, Curtis Hickel of Great Bend, David Hickel (Cheryl) of Claflin, Kyle Hickel of Claflin, Janell Hubbard (Doug) of Claflin, June Halliwill (Jeffrey) of Wichita and Janine Dutton (Kirby) of El Dorado. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren.
