He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruel V. Butcher and Willa Butcher (Niemeir); his wife Donna Lavelle Smith; his sister Phyllis Monical; his brother-in-law Ralph Monical; his parents-in-law, Hubert and Mildred Smith; and his sister-in-law Sue Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Dea Ann Kreisman of Parker, Grant Butcher (Margaret) of Springdale, Kimberly Fairbank (Rocky) of Cimarron and Robert Butcher (Angela) of DeSoto; his siblings-in-law, Lynn Smith of Kansas City and Valda Haug (Dale) of Salina; his grandchildren, James Butcher (Kimberly), Joe Butcher (Becca), Jaden Almanza (Fischer), Trenton Fairbank (Sara), Brooke Fairbank, Stewart Fairbank and Breck Butcher; his great grandchildren, Jenevieve, Kallahan Butcher, Nash, Lincoln Butcher, Sadie, Taylie and Adley Fairbank; and his nephews, Steve Monical (Ruth), Dick Monical and Branden Smith.
Memorials are suggested to the Cimarron Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
