It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dixie S. Hertel formerly of Cimarron, Kansas, who passed away on December 21, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Dixie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dixie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Koehn and Katie Koehn (Boehs); and her son Bryant Hertel. She is survived by: her sons, Christopher Hertel (Laurie) and Martin Joseph Hertel; her daughter-in-law Kathy Hertel; her grandsons, Bryant Patrick Hertel, Timothy Hertel and Kameron Hertel (Samantha); and her siblings, Jeanette Monroe and Max Koehn. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Over 50's Center or the Cimarron City Library both in care of Ziegler Funeral Chapel, 1901 N. 14th Ave., Dodge City, Kansas 67801.
