With solemn reverence, we commemorate Wilma H. Carter of Chetopa, Kansas, whose life came to an end on October 30, 2024 at the age of 97, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Austin "Jack" and Grace Meriweather (Shrum); her husband Robert G. Carter; her sons, William Edward "Bill" Carter and Mark Allen Carter; her granddaughter Amanda Moore; and her great grandchild Mark Carter II.
She is survived by: her children, Robert G. "Bob" Carter (Ruth) of Chetopa, John Michael "Mike" Carter (Shirley) of Oswego, Clyde Andrew "Andy" Carter (Naomi) of Chetopa and Janet Elaine Blackledge (Steve) of Chetopa; her daughters-in-law, Roberta Carter of Chetopa and Brenda Carter of Chetopa; and her sister Jackie Boyle (Wayne) of Independence, Kansas.. She is also survived by Seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Chetopa (721 Maple St, Chetopa, KS 67336). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church of Chetopa.
