He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Doherty and Ethel Doherty (Skaggs); and his siblings, Jeanie Wilson, Jeep Doherty and Bridget Sprague.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Doherty of Wellington, Kansas; his children, Melanie Doherty of Topeka, Kansas, Tia Sampson (Jake) of Topeka, Kansas, Tyler Treft (Sarah) of Wellington, Kansas and Austin Treft of Wellington; his grandchildren, Morgan Goodman, Samantha Fincham, Savannah, Aaron, Ruby Sampson, Natalee and Brady Treft; his great grandchildren, Norah and Harper Goodman; and his sister Jackie Boling (Bob) of Gravette. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
