He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold L. Gilliland and Edith M. Gilliland (Wallace); his wife Linda Gilliland; his son Michael Gilliland; and his siblings, Gale Gilliland, Raymond Gilliland, Bobby Gilliland, Betty Harold and Dolly Hall.
He is survived by: his children, Lael Gilliland, Jr. of Chetopa and Marsha Taylor (Walter) of Parsons; and his brother Darvin Gilliland of Chetopa, Kansas.. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren, Eleven great-grandchildren.
