She was predeceased by: her parents, Percival J. Hollingsworth and Jessie Hollingsworth (Denney); and her siblings, Doris Powell, Carl, Max and Jack.
She is survived by: her husband Dean Douglas McConnell; her family Shirley; and her children, Randy McConnell of Edna, Kansas, Mike McConnell of McPherson, Kansas, Doug McConnell of Norman, Oklahoma and Tanya Burk of Joplin.
The family kindly requests that donations be made in Shirley's memory to St, Jude Children's Research Hospital a charity close to her heart.
