We are sad to announce that on March 28, 2021, at the age of 88, Raymond Blaes of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Blaes and Helen Blaes (Miller); and his siblings, Marjorie Burns, Donald, Robert and Bill Blaes.
He is survived by: his wife Philomena Doebel; his children, John Blaes (Carol) of Cherryvale, KS, Tom Blaes (Melanie) of Cherryvale, KS, Marvin Blaes (Kim) of Cherryvale, KS, Jim Blaes (Tamara) of Cherryvale, KS and Theresa Gates (Jim) of Independence, KS; and his sisters, Coleen LaForge of Independence, KS and Harriet Johnson of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Memorial remembrances are suggested for Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, or The American Heart Association and can be mailed to or left with Wickham Family Funeral Home at 216 E. 4th, Cherryvale, KS.
