He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Louise Lain (Wells) and Orville Ernest Lain; and his stepsister Jackie Wood. He is survived by: his daughter Amber McFarland; his son-in-law Ryan McFarland of Emporia, Kansas; his brother Steve Lain; his sister-in-law Janet Lain of Cherryvale; his sister Linda Newland of Wichita; his brother-in-law Larry Newland of Wichita; his stepsisters, Connie Jewett of Cherryvale and Mary Ann Kolb of Rural Independence; and his grandsons, Jace and Justin McFarland of Emporia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
