Henry Thomas Vestering Jr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Henry Thomas Vestering Jr. of Cheney, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry T. Vestering, and Josephine Vestering, Sr. (Kleewein); his former wife Marie Vestering; his wife Carol; his siblings, Joe, Jerry, Frank and Mary Ann Steffan; his nephews, Bill, David and Mathew; and his great grandchild JB Becker.
He is survived by: his siblings, Tom Vestering (Evelyn) of Garden Plain, KS, Betty Pitman of Springfield, MO and Joan Mies of Wichita, KS; and his children, Brenda Beck (John) of Cheney, KS, Don (Brenda) of Wichita, Curtis of Cheney, Rick of Cheney, Steven of Cheney and Mark (Jill) of Georgia. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Rose of Lima-Mount Vernon Catholic Church (4813 NE 150 Ave, Cheney, KS 67025). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Rose of Lima - Mount Vernon Catholic Church (4813 NE 150 Ave, Cheney, KS 67025).
