Ellen J. McDermott Obituary

We are sad to announce that on September 1, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Ellen J. McDermott of Chautauqua, Kansas, born in Bethany, Missouri. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Dale and Phylus Dale (Judd); her sister Jan Milham; and her parents-in-law, Dr. Bernard and Donna McDermott (Pontious).

She is survived by: her husband James "Jim" McDermott D. O. of Rural Chautauqua, Kansas; her sons, Lucas McDermott (Karla) of Winfield and Justin McDermott (Tori) of Sedan, Kansas; her brothers, Jim Dale (Rae) of Arkansas City and John Dale (Janet) of Cedar Vale, Kansas; her grandchildren, Baylie Holden and Maxson; and her friends, Ronnie and Faye Melton of Cedar Vale, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to the Gregg Theatre and can be left in care of the Dickens Family Funeral Home, 209 N. Douglas, Sedan, Kansas 67361.
