He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice M. Ward and Horn; and his brother Mike Ward. He is survived by: his sisters, Karen Saap and Nancy Pennigton. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
