He was predeceased by: his father Joe D. Patterson; his grandparents, Ivor, Pearl Patterson, Harry and Edna Summers; his brother-in-law Steve Blackburn; and his grandson Isaiah Madden.

He is survived by: his mother Charlene Whitehead Patterson (Silver Ingram) of Chase; his children, Elizabeth JoAnn Madden (Thomas) of Raymond, KS, Jesse Cole Patterson of Chase and Misty Dawn Patterson; his siblings, I. Joene Latiolais (Marion) of Franklin, LA, Chuck E. Patteson (Pam) of St. John, KS, E. Jane Blackburn of Raymond, KS and Charlotte K. Larsen (David) of Lyons; and his grandchildren, Alaina, Colton, Emelia Madden and Sophia Vasquez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to Goodfellows of Rice County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
