He was predeceased by: his father Howard Milton Ray; his stepfather James Porter; his daughter Mara Gillespie; his siblings, James Ray (Kathy), David Ray and Angel Ray; and his nephew David Ray.
He is survived by: his mother Patricia Ann Porter of Lyons; his children, Joshua Ray (Hallie) of Sterling, KS and Ashlyn Altvater (Jonathan) of Inman, KS; his sister Melinda Moore (Alan) of Lyons, KS; and his grandchildren, Averie, RaeLynn Altvater and Eli Gillespie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church (101 S Pioneer Ave, Lyons, KS 67554). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Patricia Porter in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
