It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Bell Gillespie of Chase, Kansas, born in Easton, Missouri, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Helen Weakley Bigham; and her sister Jane Cannon. She is survived by: her former husband David L. Gillespie; her children, Janet Long (Steve), Steven Gillespie (Velinda) of Chase, KS and Julie McCaffrey of Turlock, CA; and her sisters, Joyce Verlinde (Marvin) of Seattle, WA and Judy Thompson (Jim) of Las Vegas, NV. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Friends of Animals Rice County in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
