He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Kind and Wilma Kind (Gridley); his wife Millicent Latzke On; and his children, Daniel and Diane.

He is survived by: his family Chapman; his son Mark (Marsha Kind) of Salina; his sister Lois Ann Beal of Topeka; and his grandchildren, Kody Kind (Kailee) and Kyla Kind.

“My uncle Billy was a very kind soul, quick to smile and laugh. I will miss him - he was such a blessing to our family. Ginny Williams My uncle-in-law Billy was an amazing man. I think he worked his farm even in his 89th year. I knew Billy for 25 years and in all that time I never heard him say anything negative. He lived out "Do everything without complaining or arguing". I will miss him. Ginny and I both pray that the Lord would bring comfort to Mark and Marsha and family. Kevin Williams”
