She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther "Pete" S. Duck and Lois Duck (Hurst); her husband Vernon Surls; and her brother Luther Duck. She is survived by: her daughters, Lavona Christner of Herington and Marchia Havard (Mike) of Liberty, MS; her grandsons, Paul and James Christner (Kate) of Herington; her great grandchildren, Evan, Caden and Natalie Christner; her sister-in-law Margaret Duck of Baker, LA; and her niece Angie.
Memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the City of Herington for the placement of a new columbarium at Sunset Hill.
