He was predeceased by: his parents, Manfred Blixt and Ildie Blixt (Wheeler); his siblings, Larry, Leon Blixt and Lila Kitch; and his daughter Georgi Blixt.

He is survived by: his wife Carole Empson; his daughter Jennifer Wadeson (Scott) of Junction City; his granddaughters, Shelbi Mathis of San Diego and Kylie Merritt of Tucson; and his siblings, Lyle (Janie), LeRoy Blixt (Tina) of Chapman and Lydia Blixt of Emporia, KS..

The family suggests memorials be made to the Chapman American Legion and may be sent in care of the Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel PO Box 411 Chapman, KS 67431.
