With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Larry L Steppe (Chapman, Kansas), born in Junction City, Kansas, who passed away on November 10, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Larry may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Larry touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert F. Steppe and Janice Steppe (Davison); and his wife Barbara Burgett (Graves). He is survived by: his stepchildren, Herbert Burgett (Andra Kaye) of Chapman, Michael Burgett (Joleen Rankin) of Abilene and Gina Mitchell (Kevin) of Junction City; his son Larry Michael Steppe of Versailles; and his siblings, Gary Steppe (Karen) of Kansas City and Barbara Blythe (Steve) of Junction City.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Londeen-Overlease Funeral Chapel (206 W 5th St, Chapman, KS 67431). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Good Hope Cemetery (3000 Sage Rd, Chapman, KS 67431).
