He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Strauss and Kathleen Strauss. He is survived by: his wife Donna Lee Taylor; his children, Doran Abilene (Becky), Laurie Veal Abilene (Blain) and Deon Abilene; his grandchildren, Jeremy Strauss (Robin), Alicia Schultz (Seth), Ben Gilliland (Desi), Courtney Strauss (Telea), Taelor Herrman (Shawn), Bridgette Wuthnow (Nathan), Seth Strauss (Amber), Felix (Natalie) and Bode; and his sister Sue Feeney (Feeney) of Abilene. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
The family suggested memorials be given to the Abilene Elks Club or the Abilene First Responders.
