He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Kirn Diehl of Solomon; and his parents, Pauline Alexander Wilson and Lyle Diehl. He is survived by: his former wife Joy Trower; his wife Karman Morrison of Wichita; his children, Marci Smith (Todd) and Michael Diehl (Afton) of Enterprise; his siblings, Donald Diehl (Linda) of Abilene and Deborah Nelson (Timothy) of Chapman; his grandchildren, Lilliann, Olivia Roy of Goddard, Rexley Diehl of Enterprise, Matthew, Carter and Cooper Smith of Enterprise; his aunts and uncles, Dona Myers (Monte) of Abilene, Gladys Olson of Fairway, Harvey Diehl (Jane) of Valley Center and Dallas Alexander (Irene) of Mims; and his brother-in-law Jim Kirn of The Colony. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be given to Hospice of Dickinson County or to the American Cancer Society.
