He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester E. Wright and Velma H. Wright (Drummond); his wife Bettye Jean Wright; his sons, Jeffrey Lynn Wright and Jason J. Wright; his sisters, Barbara Alene Kuplen and Emma Lou Wright; his daughter-in-law Dana Joy Wright; and his great grandchild Drake DaMon Walls (Juanita Ortiz).

He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Alene Wimsett (Michael) of Savonburg, KS, Gregory Jay Wright (Brenda) of California, Jerel Lee Wright of Topeka, KS, Joel Craig Wright (Kim) of Missouri, Jock Van Wright (Cassie) of Nevada, Jamie Kevin Wright (Judi) of Chanute, KS and Justin Brian Wright (Heidi).
