She was predeceased by: her parents, Loren H. Brooks and Hazel V. Brooks (Lowe); and her siblings, Joe Brooks and Marilyn Munger. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Matlock Jr.; her children, Robert Matlock (Kelli) of Chanute, Kay L. Young (Nick Harris) of Chanute and Chad E. Matlock of Erie, Kansas.; her siblings, Merle Brooks of Chanute and Sandy Sturgem of Inman, Kansas.; her stepgrandsons, Christopher Myers (Mercedes) and Anthony Collins; and her great grandchildren, Peyten, Lochlan Isaacs, Caleb, Kayreen, Pepper Ironsyde, Michael, Charlie Young, Brock, Jensyn Matlock, Jayce, Everleigh, Tucker, Case Matlock, Titan, Trey, Camdem Bolden, Chloe, Emily, Julie, Luke Myers and Addisyn Collins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wickham Family Funeral Home - Chanute (500 N Forest Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to Kansas Elks Ketch and Shriners Hospital (Pittsburgh Shriners) and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
