Mary Sue Carlson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2024, at the age of 83, Mary Sue Carlson (Chanute, Kansas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Mary Sue farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Mary Sue is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clayton Ward and Mary Jane Ward (McMinimy). She is survived by: her husband David Carlson; and her daughters, Susan Stewart of Jemez Springs, NM, Amy Gifford of Independence, MO, Mary Ann Tackett, Sara Williams and Deana Angleton. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Westview Baptist Church or Star of Hope International and can be left with or mailed to Wickham Family Funeral Home, 500 North Forest Ave, Chanute, KS.
