It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Martha Irene Gonzales of Chanute, Kansas, born in Parsons, Kansas, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaylord Lee and Thelma Madison (Hayes); and her sisters, Mary Lou Hawes and Shelley Shirley. She is survived by: her children, Tammy Cook (Matthew) and Christopher Gonzales; her sister Kimberlee Anderson; and her grandchildren, Derrik Cook (Kayla), Aeden, Aelah, Melody, Jane, Nihle, Mico and Calysta. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wickham Family Funeral Home - Chanute (500 N Forest Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Memorial Park Cemetery (1002 E 14th St, Chanute, KS 66720).
