He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Reeves and Bessie Reeves (Bowman); and his siblings, Ethel Robertson, Roy Reeves, Fay Reeves, Wayne Reeves, Marjorie Neely and Norma Bailey.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy Reeves; his daughter Tammy Ports (Jay Todd Reeves); his sister Marie Mitchell Donnie Reeves (Barbara); his grandchildren, Brian Duecy, Marc Duecy Caulen Ports and Jayson Ports; and his great grandchildren, Kamryn Duecy, Maylee Ports and Jaxson Ports.

The family suggests memorials to be made to American Legion Veterans Wall and may be left with or mailed to them.
