Kalyn Dian Jones Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kalyn Dian Jones of Chanute, Kansas, who passed away on March 21, 2024 at the age of 22. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Marilyn Hurt, Vernon and Glenna Defebaugh; and her uncle Mikey Robb. She is survived by: her parents, Julia Defebaugh (Hurt) and Travis Jones (Wendy); her brother Darron Jones of Chanute; her stepsiblings, Justin Defebaugh (Karin) of Humboldt, Megan Defebaugh of Erie, Tierra Defebaugh (Ashley) of Wichita, Tiffany Sutherland (Scott) of Valley Center, Macy Lickteig (Bryan) of Wichita and Trey Eustice of Chanute; her grandparents, Ron Hurt of Chanute, Frank, Linda Springer of Chanute, Ed Jones of Frontenac, Joe Robb of Iola, Regina Dye of Iola, Mike and Arlynn Wawrzewski of Garnett; and her aunts and uncles, Mike Hurt (Tiffany) of Buffalo, Danny Hurt (Lindsy) of Humboldt, John Jones (Dana) of Pittsburg, Jenni Morton (Jeff) of Broken Arrow, OK, Chelsi Borjas (Derek) of Chanute, Gayle White (Tom) of Winfield, Mike Wawrzewski (Elizabeth) of Wichita, Megan Freeman (Kojuan) of Wichita, Lexi Hersha of Iola, Kale King of Iola and MaKayla Robb of Iola. She is also survived by many great aunts, great uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made in memory of Kalyn to Chanute Community Theater or Castaway Animal Shelter and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
