It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Marie Barker (Chanute, Kansas), who passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Juanita Marie Barker to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Allen and Alice Lena Allen (Laver); her children, Cecil Barker and Thomas Barker (Brenda); and her sisters, Marjorie Mullins of Hoxie, KS, Mildred Arlena Moore of Chanute, KS, Barbara Culp of Petrolia, KS and Sharon Compton of Chanute, KS.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Scott Barker (Jessica), Eric Barker (Traci), Robin Barker-Olberding (Matthew), Steven Barker (Debbie), Leah Drinkwine (Ray) and Timothy Barker; and her siblings, Cheryl Allen of Broken Arrow, OK and Robert Allen of Chanute, KS. She is also survived by 19 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Central Park Pavilion (101 S Forest Ave, Chanute, KS 66720).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Horizon Hospice, who took great care of Juanita in her final days.
