He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Turner and Mary Elsie Turner (Shoemaker); his brothers, Jack and Robert Turner; and his daughters, Kathy Turner and Mary Lou Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Mae (Weeks); his brother David Turner of Lamar, Missouri.; and his children, Gary Starr (Julie) of Grantville, David Starr (Natalea) of Chanute, Gale Scarlett (Carlton) of Gardner, KS and Vicki Conley (James) of Austin. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
