We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John J. O'Mara Sr. in Chanute, Kansas. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Tom" O'Mara and Anna O'Mara (Haffey); his wife Catherine "Kay" (Ulery); his son Michael Ray O'Mara; and his siblings, Tom O'Mara, Valetta Stanley, Coletta Sprague and Aretta Nowlin.

He is survived by: his children, John O'Mara, Jr. (Sarah), Karen Kimball (Gary), Terri Lewis (Jason) and Kathleen Henning (Sonny); and his pet Tommy Cat. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Allen County Animal Rescue Facility (ACARF) and may be left in the care of the funeral home.
