He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schaffer and Clara Schaffer (Schrader). He is survived by: his wife Sylvia "Jane" Floyd; his children, David Schaffer (Alice), James Grayson (Ilene), Ricky Schaffer, Jeff Culbertson, Sherry Briggs and Staci Ford (Mark); and his siblings, Rocky Robertson (Elaina) and Barbra Rhodes. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
