He was predeceased by: his wife Donna Murdock; and his brothers, Melvin Alger and Kenneth Alger. He is survived by: his sons, Russell J Alger and Rusty; his granddaughter Angela Alger (Kane Norris); his great grandchildren, Hunter Friederich (Dannah), Kamri Naff, Karter Naff and Drake Friederich; his great great grandchild Baylor Friederich; his siblings-in-law, Lois Zeller and Larry Cromwell; his sister Linda; his brother-in-law George Kaemmerling; his sister Marjorie Cromwell; and his sisters-in-law, Dora Alger and Venus Murdock.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church of Chanute (102 N Grant Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made in Howard's name to the First Christian Church.
