It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene George Koester (Chanute, Kansas), born in Iola, Kansas, who passed away on January 18, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Koester and Rosella Koester (Thummel); his son Shawn Koester; and his siblings, Ronald Koester and Shirley Pugh.

He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Koester; his son William Koester (Robyn Clinton Koester); his sister Doris Pugh; and his daughter-in-law Denise Koester.

The family suggests memorials to be made to St Patrick Catholic School and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
