He is survived by: his wife Karen Shrum; his children, Craig Shields (Melissa) of Chanute, KS, Melissa Thomas (Steven) of Kansas City, KS, Linda Hottenstien (Paul) of Chanute, KS, Kathy Vaughn of Melvern, KS and LaDonna Watts of Humboldt, KS.; and his brothers, Radford of Chanute, KS, Larry of Chanute, KS and Johnny Shields of Chanute, KS.
Memorials are suggested to Cherry Street Youth Center and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
