He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil H. Spurrier and Margaret I. Spurrier (Baker); and his siblings, Evelyn Uthmann, Alta Spurrier and Howard Spurrier.

He is survived by: his nephews, Marlon Spurrier (Michelle) of Chanute and Marshall Spurrier (Tammy) of Jenks, OK; and his niece Elaine Colvin (Herman) of Chanute.
