It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Danny Joe Aikins of Chanute, Kansas, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Dale Aikins Sr. and Virginia Lea Neagle Aikins of Humboldt, KS.; his stepmother Vada Snodgrass Michael Aikins; and his siblings, Roy Dale Aikins, Jr., Ronald Earl Aikins and Wanda Lea Aikins Poulter.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Hagans; his brother George Wayne Aikins (Connie) of Humboldt, KS; his stepsiblings, Glenda Aikins Hill (Randy) of Humboldt, KS, Patricia Michael of Lawrence, KS, Max Michael (Cindy) and Joe Michael (Linda) of Humboldt, KS; his brother-in-law Lynn Hagans (Cindy) of Eldon, MO; and his grandchildren, Grant Evan of Chanute, Melisa Higginbotham Aikins of Chanute, Ellie Jean of Chanute, Evan Reed Aikins of Chanute, Kevin Ross of Chanute, Katlyn Leslie Aikins of Chanute and Connor Wade Aikins of Chanute. He is also survived by numerous aunts, one uncle, and cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great nephew.
Memorials have been suggested to the First Christian Church in Chanute, or the charity of your choice and mailed or left with the funeral home.
