He is survived by: his parents, Dale N. Carlson and Margery Carlson (Abbott) of Earlton, KS; his mother-in-law Anita Ellis; his former spouse Emerald Isaacs; his sons, James Carlson of Chanute, KS and Jason Carlson (Reagan); his sisters, Kathryn Rector (Charles) of Baxter Springs, Loretta Johnson (Terry) and Mary Sue Masters (Dean) of Independence, KS.; and his grandchildren, Connor, Jensen, Forrest and Marley.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
