She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Myers and Dutch Myers (Fowler); her son James Nelson; and her grandson Michael Grayson. She is survived by: her children, Cathy Grayson and Richard Nelson; her brother Roy Duke Myers; and her grandchildren, Cassie, Jonna, Amanda and Christie.
Colletta's dedication to nursing and nursing education will carry on, following her wishes, her body was donated to the Kansas Body Willed Program to help further the education of future healthcare providers.
