He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Wood and Cecilia Wood (Rensing); his wife Betty Stowell; and his siblings, Craig, Kenneth, Herb, David Wood and Mary Ann Baker.
He is survived by: his children, Christina Reed of Chanute, KS, Tracy Leal'Herrera of Kansas City, KS, Christopher Woods Jr. of Lenexa, KS and Frederick Wood of Chanute, KS.. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wickham Family Funeral Home - Chanute (500 N Forest Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (424 S Central Ave, Chanute, KS 66720). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
