He was predeceased by: his parents, Everette Griffith and Alice Evelyn Carpenter (Johnson); and his son-in-law Larry D. "Ench" Roberts. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kepler; his children, Michael Carpenter (Debbie), Mark Carpenter of Prairie Village, KS and Michelle Roberts of Spring Hill, KS; his sister Karen Douglass (Hollister) of Avon, IL; and his grandchildren, Andrew Roberts (Liza), David, Matthew Carpenter and Caitlin Kremer (Zach).
