He is survived by: his former wife Doris Sluder Hamilton Jaques; his children, Charlene Coate (Butch), Debbie Bair and Lyle Bair (Paula); his daughter-in-law Bonnie Bair; his stepdaughter Debbie Cuckie (George); his grandchildren, Caleb Coate, Mindy Coate, Cody Coate (Jennifer), Flora Parish (D. L.), Carolyn Smith (Brandon), Kena Lord (Ben), Monica Walker (Robbie), Karie Yarbrough (Robert), J. D. Meadows, Mariah Robertson (Crue) and Andrew Cuckie (Lauren); and his sister Lula Bell Smith (Altie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
